ALEC

Brought up in a working-class neighborhood in NJ and spending three years at the predominately white Burroughs University, Alec has always been “the other.” Disconnected from his South Asian heritage, loathing his computer tech major, and unable to break into the mainstream student body, Alec numbs his pain by swigging booze and popping pills. When he flunks out of school, he freaks. Broke, but hell-bent on escaping to New York City, he decides to make a rash exit.
